The Twine Bass by Soundiron is a uniquely crafted sample library featuring a modified cello and a traditional Kenyan fretless stringed instrument called a Bolon. The cello has been strung with rough hemp twine in various tunings, capturing a deeply sonorous sound with rich, warm resonance, powerful low end, and a soft, woody quality. The Bolon, with its cow's horn neck, gourd body, and four twine strings, adds an exotic tonal character to the library. Soundiron has meticulously sampled both instruments with 10x round-robin and up to 14 velocity layers, as well as additional articulations like legato slides, string mutes, tuning peg plucks, and percussive effects on the body. This library offers composers and producers a distinctive set of low-end textures and hybrid bass tones perfect for film, television, and experimental music compositions.
